Engine Diagnostic Testers range in price from about , upwards to several hundreds of dollars. The year and make of the vehicle are an important factor when purchasing one. I have never heard of one that prices repairs. Some auto parts stores will diagnose your car for free if the ‘check engine’ light is on. Knowing what is wrong with your car before you take it to the shop, can save a lot of headaches.
A company named ‘Innova’, in my opinion, makes the best diagnostic tools.
