Peter Brock Energy Polarizer

During the 1986 Australian touring car championship and following the failed Le mans attack, Brock began to consult health practitioner Eric Dowker. Brock gave up alcohol and cigarettes, and became a vegan. Brock began publicly supporting and, eventually, began to fit to all Holden Dealer Team specials a device called the “Energy Polarizer” containing crystals and magnets that, it was claimed, improved the performance and handling of vehicles through “aligning the molecules”. THen on the ev of the 1987 Australian Touring Car Championship, Brock was ready to release a car called the Brock Director. A GM based Brock car. This was against GMH wishes and after many threats from GMH to withdraw all support from Brock and the Mobile Holden Dealer team if he went ahead with the release of the car, Brock stuck by his guns and released the Brock Director February 1987. On 23rd February 1987, Holden withdraw all support to Brock and the Brock Special Vehicles empire was gone.

New diecast just released from Tomy Tomica called Ivan Mater from Takara toys. This is a 1:64 scale diecast original from Tomy Tomica Toys measuring 2 ½ inches. All custom painted, no stickers. “Ivan Mater” is a blue tow truck who works for Victor Hugo. He is Victor’s personal transportation, towing him place to place. He also serves as a body guard. During the film, when Mater was trying to get McQueen’s attention in a crowd, the lemons grab him and Ivan takes his place. Mater disguises himself as Ivan to infiltrate the lemon meeting being held in Porto Corsa to get info. Holley Shiftwell tazes Ivan before this so he doesn’t blow their cover. Most tow trucks just look tough, but Ivan is really tough. From his front grille to his rear hook, he’s built solid. What else would you expect from “Victor H” personal chauffeur ? The rumor that he demolished a subcompact with one drop of the tow boom may sound preposterous, but it’s absolutely true. Still, every tough truck has a weakness, and for Ivan it’s helping a pretty sports car with a flat tire.
