My car was recently stolen when I drooped my key. Thankfully, the car was recovered; however my key is still out there somewhere. I am not yet able to get all of the locks and ignition changed yet and need to know what is the best thing to deter anyone with the key from taking the car again.

a nice secure garage….but failing that either lojac (which is an onboard gps that notifies the authorities of the exact location of the vehicle when reported stolen). The only downside is its expensive but if you ever have a nice car you want to make sure its safe and protected. If you cant afford that I would say an expensive car alarm, a car club, and a detachable face (car stereo) would be your best bet.

My car keeps draining batteries like crazy. Dealer can’t fix it and it’s not worth spending too much money on an old car. My solution is to connect a second battery (stationed in the trunk) via wires to the actual battery in the car and put a switch somewhere on my dashboard so that when I need to turn the car on i can switch the trunk battery on and basically jump the car without taking out the jumper cables. Does anyone know what specifications the wire and/or the switch need to work best with the 12V car battery? Or any switch with an On/Off position will do? What about the cable? Is any material better than others? Any help will be appreciated!

did you check the battery?
did you check the alternator?
did you check the regulator and diodes?
anyone check for a short or open circuit?

Have you tried to re-finance with another company? If you haven’t already ruined your credit, a lot of times you can get it financed with lower payments and interest.

The air conditioner in my car doesn’t cool well, and I would like to repair it. Is it possible to repair it with cheap costs? What is the problem? Is it the “conditioning gas pipe”? What is it?

You can have it recharged. It just replaces the freon. I think that costs less than 0 (not sure). That may help.
