I live in Raleigh, NC and i have found the cheapest raleigh, nc auto repair service on www.raleighautorepairservice.org. They saved me alot of money repairing my Cadillac and they came to me.

Question by azolkipl: whats the best tool to grind car paint?
I’m going to start a car rebuild, and would like to know what’s the best combination of power tool and bit to use to make the grinding and polishing easier.
Well, the car is only a Daihatsu charade, and I’m doing this work on my own because it’s a DIY project. I’m not interested to get professionals except for welding and paint.
The main reason I’m actually grinding off the paint is to see the extent of rust damage, and see if I need to buy new panels, or is it fixable by some welding work.

Im looking for the best diagnostic tool on the market, like the snapon diagnostic tools. What is its brand and product name? 5-10k dollars is waht im looking at, hand held etc etc, US, asian, european, etc etc. one that does it all, engine readouts cylindr monitors.
Umm I did see ones that utilized a laptop if anyone knows if they get Dealership codes or what please let me know?

I love my Snap-On Solus. But there is another one mfg. by OTC you might look into. And the Snap On is easier/cheaper to update than the PC run program. I use a Laptop to pull data from the ECM on trucks (18 wheelers) but for OBD2 cars, its the snapon solus.

I hear it’s better to buy a set, rather than run back and forth to buy tools as needed. Also cheaper. I’m starting to do my own car repairs. I have 2 bmws, 1999 323i and a 2005 X5 3.0i. So, what’s the best deal on a tool set and box?
How about jacking equipment? My garage only fits one car, and only about 19″ of clearance around if the X5 rear is up against the garage door. I hear it’s not too safe to work in such a small garage. Any suggestions for extra safety for working in this garage? Thanks.

buy used tools at least the hand tools . craftsmen are very good tools . as for safety when jacking your car up make sure you have good jack stands wheel chocks and a fast and powerful hand pump jack. as well when working under a car you should really have someone with you in the shop . fires the falling car are not things to discount .

Got a Genisys a few weeks ago and so far have been very impressed. Before that I worked primarily with a Snap-On scanner which is getting quite old.
