iPhone 4 TomTom GPS Navigation 3G Streaming Pandora
A quick demo of driving while streaming audio live from Pandora on 3G and multitasking with Tom Tom Turn by Turn Navigation app. Audio mixing is very well done. This is a viable and indeed very nice navigation solution. Update: After a few weeks of driving with this system on familiar and unfamiliar roads alike, I am very happy with the performance, accuracy and usability. The iPhone 4’s GPS/Compass and Accelerometer give a very good read on your location. TomTom used to suffer from inferior maps, but I think their data is much improved now. Here is the car mount I use. It acts as a handsfree phone, charger and audio interface to your car stereo all in one. My car has a line in audio input to the stereo system. I’ve had better call quality with this than bluetooth devices. amzn.to There is also an FM transmitter model, but really those things never work well unless you live in a rural area with few FM stations.

Apple iPhone 3G S and Griffin iTrip AutoPilot review
This is my personal review of this combination. My old Griffen Roadtrip did not work anymore with my new iPhone, so I searched for a new FM transmitter. I was very suprised how good this iTrip AutoPilot works. The manual is not very precise and I found a few new things out, which I show in my video. Make sure to search for the best position in you car. I made the experience, the higher the iphone is eg on your front window, the less static noise you have. I have no static noise at all in my car, when I use the iTrip.

UPDATE: LegoDrive is available on Cydia . Just install using Cydia on your iPhone/iPod, enter your Lego NXT’s device ID and you can use LegoDrive too! LegoDrive (formerly presented as iCar) demonstrates how to control a Lego Mindstorms NXT robot using (rotating and tilting) iPhone over Bluetooth. The car is built with standart Lego Mindstorms NXT components. Since iPhone SDK does NOT allow using non certified devices (which are limited to other iPhones and some headsets etc.) I have used BTStack library.
