Question by cartracer12: How can I open up an Automotive Customization shop?
I really love working with cars, and automotive customization. What steps should I take over the next 4-6 years (I’m 19 and going to University now as an Engineer but I don’t really enjoy it). I’m thinking along the lines of what traits or trades to learn IE business skills, fabrication skills, tool selection, how to buy or rent a facility and so on. The more thorough the answers the higher the possibility they will be off assistance as I already had a general idea of what I need to do.

Question by : Can an auto repair shop sue me for canceling an appointment when they have already purchased parts?
My car was rear ended, and I was getting estimates from various shops around town. The first shop I went to, I tentatively setup an appointment to bring my car in for repairs. A week before repairs were to begin, I canceled the apointment because I had found a much better deal that would save me about 0. The auto shop claims that they have already purchased parts, and plan to sue me since they cannot return the parts.
I did not sign anything – they just gave me an estimate.
Can they do this?

I say u tell the shop u want to go with and see if they can hustle the parts from the other shop. But suing u for that would cost them a lot of time/money more than they already put in so I doubt they would…
