Question by Jenny C: Cleaning solution for car seats?
What’s the best solution to cleaning car seats (not leather or plastic) just regular fabric that the dealer said had a stain-free spray when I bought it. The stains are from water and dirty butts (funny, but true). The grandkids play all kinds of sports and are dirty and dusty when they get in my car and water has been spilled so basically it’s light “mud”. My gray back seats need a good cleaning – help! (Don’t tell me to get rid of the grandkids). Thanks to you out there, especially those that have grandkids!!!

Ok, sounds funny but do this and I guarantee it will clean. Take Dawn Liquid dish soap. Squirt about a teaspoonful in a bowl or pot, or dishpan. Add 1/4 cup ammonia. Add water, about halfway in bowl or container. Wisk until you get a lot of suds. Take a clean, new damp sponge (you do NOT want a lot of dripping water, wring it out good) and use ONLY THE SUDS, NOT the water. Rub onto dirty area, and watch it disappear. The ammonia will take out smells. Your car will NOT smell like ammonia, just a little until the seats dry completely from the suds.
