Question by Bijan F: in “Diagnosting a car” what is this tool known as “Jumper Wire”, is it a Universal term in car repair?
when you do diagnostic check on your car you are supposed to connect this wire (Jumper) to the service check connector and from there you see codes and by knowing the codes you fix the problem in the car, I just don’t know what this wire came from, is it a tool ? is it a piece of any copper wire and I am trying to see other than doing this check by taking to a service station I can do myself .

It is a normal copper insulated wire, typically has alligator clips on the ends to clamp on to things.

94 Merc.Topaz. Fixing up this used car. Just had a bunch of susspension work done and the Mech. told me it needs ball joint. I want to install both sides because(it needs it) and I want to get the kind that I can re-grease, these old ones don’t have a grease zurk on them and I wonder if I can buy ones that I can grease when needed. thank you.

Any automotive parts store should be able to supply ball joints with zerk fittings.
